Today I went to the pool with Nate and Graham - my two favorite friends from the Jacob's Well band. I have been saying that I was going to go there with them since the pools opened a couple of weeks ago, so I was *very* happy and excited to finally go! It's fun to have big friends. Yay!
Today I helped Mom put together the Ocean Wonder Kick and Crawl Aquarium for Freddie. It's actually pretty fun, for a baby toy. I guess this is probably the first time I've really played with my brother. Of course, I tried to get Freddie out of the way so Caillou could have more room, but I was pretty paitient. I squished up next to Freddie and looked amused by him for about 10 minutes before asking, "Freddie, you all done playing here now?"
Cute pictures:
Squish!
He loved it!
There were so many cute pictures of all this playing that Mom created an album. If you want to see more from this series, and you haven't received the album, give me a shout out and I'll send it to you. :)
Oh, and 18 seconds of this silent movie: (Click on it even if it says "Image coming soon")

I'm not 100 percent sure about this new bed, so Daddy read stories to me in it tonight, but I still asked to sleep in my crib. Maybe I'll test out the bed tomorrow.
A sock. A baby sock. The littlest reason for a broken washing machine. Of course the repair man said, "This never happens. It's hard to do." Apparently the pictured sock was caught in the pump.
And to continue with our week of broken things, this evening Sammy broke one of the bars off his crib. Thus, he will be moving into his big boy bed over the next few days.
Today Sammy was pretending to iron. IRON. Oh my. I must thank Lisa and Hannah for teaching my child that, yes, some people do go out into the world without looking like slobs! ;-) And thanks to Lisa and Hannah (...and Anne, and Gina...) for letting us use your washer(s) this week while ours sits broken. Our clothes may be wrinkly (wrinklie? wrinkled?) but at least they're clean! ;-)
(Mom's Note: It looks like Sammers has turned into Serious Boy. Not true. He's just serious about watching Caillou. Maybe he's TV Boy since Freddie. Dang. Also, I love how James (aka Ba) isn't afraid to use the pink pillow. :)
Last Thursday morning by best buddy Cal came to play at my house. Here we are eating lunch, laughing our goofy heads off, looking under the table at the food we dropped and saying, "No, Emma!"
It's hot at our house. Something about our ABC being broken. This morning I waited to go to the park until the ABC man was done walking around our house. I had a pretty good time showing him around, though. I told him about my doggie Emmie as he was walking down the basement, past her dog food. I showed him my Nutnees and my room when he had his tape measure out up there. I even offered him a cat cracker while he was sitting at the big table with Mommy, who was looking rather pale at that time, despite the heat. I kept calling him the ABC man and following after him. He seemed to like me - he gave me a truck-shaped magnet with some letters on it before he left. Overall, the ABC man's visit was fun. I guess another man is coming back tomorrow - Mommy says after that ABC man leaves our house won't be hot anymore.
(Parental Note/Translation: Aforementioned ABC man was measuring for the new system we had to buy because the A/C unit that came with the house was complete, uh, turd and no longer works. I know it's Minneapolis and it'll only be hot for about three months, but, man is it hot and humind here right now. Great timing for all things to break at our house. Boo.)
Sammy calls from his crib yesterday morning, "Jacob, come get me please!" then, after waiting patiently for, oh, 30 seconds, "Jacob come up here NOW!" Hmmmm... no idea where he's heard stuff like that.
After he woke up from his nap and I went up to get him, I found him at a very strange angle with his feet on the bars of his crib. He tells me he's climbing the ladder on the firetruck.
Then, as I'm packing up our stuff to head out to playgroup and dinner (i.e. ignoring both children) Sammy dashes past me saying, "Caillou crying. I have to go get him." (I know I say that one a lot. Substitute Freddie for Caillou. Poor kiddo.)
