The Art of Sharing

Sammy: "Freddie! You're on the paper I'm drawing on!" Pause. "I'm going to draw on you then." Draws on his brother's leg.

Another shared shirt.

Just looking through photobucket and found more pictures of the boys in the same shirt. Can you tell who is who? lmao

My favorite shirt.

And for the disbelievers who say I dress Freddie differently than I did Sammy - you know who you are! :) - here's proof that Freddie does indeed wear recycled clothing. I looooved this shirt on Sammy and am loving it again on Freddie, just as a shirt rather than a onsie since Freddie cannot rock a onsie. (combo of cloth diaper and chubby thighs)

Sammy swing
Not the most flattering picture of Sammy! What a chunk! xo

Wendy may recognize this shirt. It's been my favorite shared between our boys. Wendy, if you have any pictures of William wearing this I would love to have one to add to the collection. :)

Ick.

Freddie loves the dog, though. He cracks up when he sees her, and finds it super hilarious when he touches her. Yeah, he doesn't even mind the licking. (And I'm pretty sure they are licking each other here. bleh! puke! ick! ;) )

Today was our first real *real* Spring day. Hooray!

This morning our friends came over to play (Lisa with Hannah and Matthew; Leah with Cal and Isaac), and Lisa encouraged us all to go outside to play and picnic at the park. In stark contrast to Tuesday morning when the ground was covered in 15 feet of snow (nearly!), today it was sunny and warm-ish (40s!!), making it the perfect spring day to head outside. It was so nice to be out in the sunshine (sans coats!!) and enjoy the outdoor things our very awesome city has to offer! (Like a fantastic city park within walking distance of one's home.)

As Leah was leaving she said, "I feel like a new woman!" and it's true. Life does feel new again when you can spend a morning reveling in the glory of Spring. It was like a promise of good things on the horizon. We are finally shaking free of the dreary, fridgid days of winter and jumping into spring and summer with much appreciation and excitement for what's to come. Praise God for the gift of a beautiful new season, and wonderful friends to share it with!

Sammy as... a Turtle

This afternoon Sammy says to me, "Will you put this on my back so I can be a turtle?" He has such a great imagination! :)
Photobucket
He crawled around the rug with the "shell" on his back. Then he tried to scrunch up into the laundry basket i.e. get into his shell. It was fun to watch.

"The Baby Goes Beep!"

Freddie very earnestly plays with a car. Isn't he sweet?

Pictures from Tuesday.

Monday morning around 7 a.m. it started snowing. It pretty much snowed into the wee hours of Tuesday morning. Here's what it looked like Tuesday morning around 9 a.m. when we went outside:

There he goes! Ready to start shoveling. Again.

I lost the stairs. I made Sammy stay up on the side on the house until I found them. Seriously. This is a picture of our front steps.

11-months-old!

Already!
Photobucket

This is how crazy he looks when he wakes up. :)

Photobucket

Still sweetness...

But mostly always on the move!

Cute enough to eat.

Our snowy Easter

It snowed on Easter. That just doesn't happen in Texas. Sammy and I made the most of it, though, and while Jacob went back to church last night to play in the second service and Freddie was snug in bed for the night, we went out and played in the snow.

We built a "snowguy"

I pulled him on the sled

He had so much fun!

An Easter cake. By Jess.

I took about two dozen pictures of the cake, but none of them really did it justice. Plus you can't smell or taste a picture. But trust me, this is the perfect Easter cake. It's going to be our new tradition. We all loved it. Of course, it doesn't hurt that the family is going through a "berry" phase right now - happily embracing any and all signs of spring/summer on the horizon.

...mmmmmm....

Return of the blue bunny ears

It's just a fact. My kids look good in bunny ears.

Spring? Sike!

After about five days in the 30s/40s with a bit of sunshine I was feeling optimistic. We were wearing spring jackets and hoodies and leaving the mittens at home. Then this morning I awoke to snow. As I look out my window snow continues to fall. At least Sammy is happy to be outside shoveling.

He's cute. But he's trouble.

I want to eat your camera.
Photobucket

I will scale great heights (er, up to 32ish inches) to reach said camera.
Photobucket

Ah-ha! Small one distracted by Mother throwing object (much like a dog would be).
