I should have written this yesterday but our internet was out (probably something I did). Yesterday while mom was changing my diaper I was thinking about my Papa Luis. I started saying, "Papa. Paaaa-pa."
Thinking I was talking to her, Mom said: "Papa's in Texas."
To which I said, "Paaaa-pa."
Then Mom asks, "Where is Papa, Sammy?"
Rather than repeating Texas, which I am absolutely positive I could say if I wanted to, I crawled over to my book shelf and reached up for the little round frames that have pictures of my family. At first I pointed to Grandma Dianne just to throw mom off, but then I pointed to Papa. And said, "Papa."
And that's it, folks. That's all a baby has to do to impress his mother.

Yea Sammy! I was and still am excited when I realize that James has learned a new word and associates it with something. The best one ever was "Hot, Ow". Everything was hot ow - the dog, the stove, the sink, mom, dad everything. It was the cutetest.
