An end of an era and the start of something new - the evolution of Sammy's speech.

Submitted by Jess

Sammy has started saying "Emma" very clearly now. Gone are the days of "Ra-ra" - it's slightly bittersweet. He loves to give Emma bones, I think thanks to the Wiggles song about how "Everyone knows you give a dog a bone." He'll stand by her treat jar and say, "Emma bone please" so he can feed her.

He has also been saying his version of his name "Nee-mee" or "Nimmy" for about a week now. Whenever he wants something and he doesn't know how to ask for it, he'll point to the object and say his name. He is also using possessives all the time, for example this morning we went for coffee and treats and he was saying, "Nee-mee's treat" or "Dada's drink."

He's doing the normal toddler things, too. Repeating words, saying basic sentences, and listing off people that he knows. He saw a picture of a woman advertising something at Target this morning and kept calling her Leah, I think because she had dark curly hair.
