Trick or Treat!

I just finished trick-or-treating. I'm pooped and it's getting coooold! (28 degrees at 8 p.m.!)

I really enjoyed my first trick-or-treating adventure. What's not to love? Running around outside, ringing doorbells, opening doors and candy! Woo!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
All night I was saying, "treat, please!" I got lots of treats! Mmmm!

Happy Halloween!

Smarts.

My mom thinks it's pretty cool that, even when I don't know or can't remember a word for something, I'll name it with descriptive words that I know. This morning I couldn't remember the word bucket, but I saw that it was blue so I said "blue".

"Cal chicken. Sammy Yoda."

Cal and me Trick-or-Treating at Daddy's office last Thursday

Cal's little brother was born on Thursday morning at 12:20 a.m. so Cal was at our house when I woke up. Yay! We spent all day together - we met his little brother Isaac at the hospital that morning, ate Happy Birthday cupcakes to celebrate; then we came home, took naps, and when we woke up we went up to Daddy's office for a Halloween party. We got lots of compliments on how cute we are. Very true. We were definitely the cutest dudes there. After the party, Mama and Daddy took us to Red Robin for dinner where we feasted on onion rings, chicken fingers and sweetened strawberries from Mom's strawberry lemonade - yum! Then we had a yelling contest on the way home. It was a super-fun day!

My mom has a lot more Halloween pictures but the camera would only upload this one for now.... more to come!!!

Oh, yeah, here's a cheesey picture of me from last Tuesday. I was so happy that I got on both of Mama's shoes!

The CUTEST boys!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Sammy and Cal at Anne's Fall Party Saturday night.

The boys behaved so well at the grown-up party! They ate and wrestled and acted like toddler boys, but they didn't get into the candles or any of the other breakable things located at their level. And they are so freakin' cute, too.

Thanks for having us, Anne!

Breakfast with Kennedy

Saturday we met the Buenos at Denny's for breakfast before heading to Mall of America. KP and I had fun coloring, eating grapes and sharing Doggie and Elmo.

Also

I am eating what is probably my third bowl of Rice Chex. I am a hungry, growing boy and Chex are soooo good. That and I skipped breakfast yesterday so I'm making up for it.

Car shirt.

I wore my car shirt yesterday. I love it. I feel manly in it. It has cars on it. Today I didn't want to wear anything else. Good thing mama finally got around to doing my laundry last night and it is clean.

Pictures from Sunday

Cal, Leah and E came to church with us this past Sunday. The service was different 'cause all the kids were at the service, and Cal and I both had to leave in the middle because we're boys and we wanted to run and have fun! Good thing our dads were around to take us out.

Here is a picture of us leaving church.

An end of an era and the start of something new - the evolution of Sammy's speech.

Submitted by Jess

Sammy has started saying "Emma" very clearly now. Gone are the days of "Ra-ra" - it's slightly bittersweet. He loves to give Emma bones, I think thanks to the Wiggles song about how "Everyone knows you give a dog a bone." He'll stand by her treat jar and say, "Emma bone please" so he can feed her.

He has also been saying his version of his name "Nee-mee" or "Nimmy" for about a week now. Whenever he wants something and he doesn't know how to ask for it, he'll point to the object and say his name. He is also using possessives all the time, for example this morning we went for coffee and treats and he was saying, "Nee-mee's treat" or "Dada's drink."

He's doing the normal toddler things, too. Repeating words, saying basic sentences, and listing off people that he knows. He saw a picture of a woman advertising something at Target this morning and kept calling her Leah, I think because she had dark curly hair.

Leaves!

Our neighbors were probably beginning to think we were real slobs, what with the copious amount of leaves covering our front yard, steps and sidewalk. I helped Mama and Daddy with the clean-up today. And we got some great fall pictures, too! BTW, the weather is beautiful and perfect today, but we're expecting snow on Thursday!

"Elmo need coat!"

Ah! We were just about to head out to door (to go to see Cal, of course) and I asked Sammy if he needed his coat. He was holding Elmo and told me that "Elmo need coat!" It was so cute.

A cowboy hat and treats to eat.

I found the chocolate covered raisins in the pantry this morning and walked around saying, "Nee-me treat!" I had to eat my cereal first but eventually got six raisins! Yum! (Hmmm... I wonder if I can expect this every morning? Nah, probably not. I think I heard my mom say she was hiding these from now on.)

eatin' apples

What a fun morning we had with the Millers at the apple farm. Tractor bikes and trikes, farm maze and let's not forget the pickin' and eatin' of apples and strolling through the orchard. I can't wait to do it again next year! Also, I have lots more pictures - if you'd like to see 'em send my mom an email and she'll send you the Kodak Gallery album!

Fall park pictures.

The kids are enjoying the last few nice days before the winter sets in. Even today started as a beautiful afternoon but about 40 minutes after these pictures the clouds opened and poured on us.
